How to Tell if You Have a Blocked Chakra

How to Tell if You Have a Blocked Chakra

Chakras are spinning wheels of energy within your body. Traditionally, you have 7 of these energy centers within your body (there are actually more- but for today I am just going to address the 7 main ones). Each center is responsible for a different section of your body and has specific physical anatomy, spiritual and emotional aspects associated with them. I have blogs explaining each of these 7 centers into further detail as well.

When chakras are aligned, you usually feel healthy, energized, have mental clarity, feel confident, have inner peace, and can express and process emotions in a healthy manner. Your chakras can be healthy, underactive, overactive, or blocked. The state of your aura and chakras changes daily.

Chakras can fall out of alignment for various reasons. Some examples being traumatic events, stress, poor diet, etc. You can have spiritual, emotional, physical, and mental blockages. Blockages occur over time with repeated events and actions usually. When your chakras are blocked, they can cause a wide variety of symptoms. Usually if there is an energetic blockage, other chakras are also affected. The two most common blockage types are emotional and mental.

Emotional Blockages- It is important to identify, process and release your emotions. They are a natural part of our human experience, and none are inherently "bad". They all serve a purpose. However, after repeated events of emotions being trapped in your body and unhealthily processed or repressed, it can cause an emotional blockage in certain chakras.

Mental Blockages- This includes limiting beliefs, conditioning, and negative thought patterns. For example, "I am worthless", "I will never be successful", "I am unlovable". Unlearning these programs is essential to keeping your chakras clear, because without addressing them the blockages will most likely keep occurring over time. These thought patterns cause emotions in us as well and they have the same effect of creating tension that is trapped in your body.

Now you may be wondering, how do I identify and clear these blockages in my chakras? There are many ways to tell which blockages you have and where. Your intuition is the biggest help, your spirit will lead you in the right direction if you have attuned yourself with how to listen. You can also ask your guides and highest self during a meditation, "where do I have a blockage? Which chakras should I be focusing on healing?". Also looking at the chakras individually to see which imbalance symptoms are associated with each will tell you. For example,

As far as clearing blockages, you have some options. Reiki and other energy work is a very effective and fast tool. A reiki practitioner will be able to identify imbalances and clear them effectively. This is especially helpful if you are still getting in tune with your intuition and body. However, you can absolutely work towards clearing them yourself as well!

Once you have determined which chakra needs work, explore your options for clearing them. Getting to the root of the issue is very important- for example identifying your limiting beliefs, paying attention to your triggers and trauma responses, and working towards healing any physical ailments as well.

Here are examples of some things to try:

✨Meditation

✨Yoga (there are poses for each chakra)

✨Nature walks

✨Eating whole foods (especially plants) and drinking enough water

✨Working with crystals

✨Therapy & journaling, & shadow work,

✨Guided meditations geared towards those specific chakras

✨Affirmations & Mantras associated with the chakra. Also ones that address your limiting beliefs

✨Frequency music geared towards the specific chakra.

I hope you found this helpful! I plan to write blogs that go into some of these details further in the near future! 🌈✨

This was a great read. My favorite part was when you broke down the sources of those blockages! 🥰
